Types of Zouk dance
There are two types of Zouk dance; Caribbean Zouk and Lambada-Zouk

Caribbean Zouk
The caribbean zouk comes from the Latin dance style known as merengue, a two-step beat with partners holding each other. The male is the leading partner holding the female hips with the right hand and the left hand holding her hand.
The basic steps of the Caribbean zouk is stepping forward with the right foot then the left and travelling backwards with the right foot and the same with the left. the hips must swing freely to the side of the body.

The Lambada-zouk
The lambada-Zouk is also known as the Zouk-love originated in the northeast region of Brazil. the basic steps of the Lambada Zouk is that the leader steps forward with the right foot on the first beat and further forward with the left on three beat and rapidly brings the right foot in line on beat four. Do not forget to let your hips swing freely from side to side as you are performing the dance.
